  There are many mental problems linked to food of which anorexia nervosa and bulimia are most commonly known. However, the following eating disorders also indicate an underlying psychological problem. Emotional eating / Binge eating 3 in 10 people are immune to emotional eating. Commonly referred to as comfort eating, the eater resorts to ‘comfort’ food when faced with a challenge or crisis. Emotional eaters will eat when they aren’t hungry and will continue to eat until they feel better. Instead of dealing with their stress, anxiety or problems, they resort to food.
