TCHAD Thousands flee from Boko Haram

 

More than 14,000 people have fled to Chad since the beginning of the year to escape from the deadly violence of Islamist group Boko Haram in the north-eastern Nigeria,.

"The arrivals are continuing at a rate of 774 people per day," says an official. Reports state that an "additional population influx is expected, due to the increased attacks of Boko Haram in northern Nigeria, as well as possible tensions around the elections.”
