The strike has left thousands of commuters stranded since last week Tuesday. They had to find alternative transport. Commuters had to stand in long queues, waiting for taxis and many of them arrived late for work and school. Piotrans spokesperson, DumisaniMntambo said the employer is to embark on a disciplinary hearing. The union leaders, on the other hand, said that they were slaves, tired and want to be freed. They’ve asked for better working hours and a solution to shift problems.
