NIGERIA Boko Haram withdrew from the city of Gombe


Hundreds of men stormed Boko Haram Saturday morning in the city of Gombe, north-eastern Nigeria, without encountering armed resistance.

There is a call to boycott general elections scheduled for the end of March. The Islamists were finally removed from the city in the early afternoon, without confronting the security forces. Following the attack on Boko Haram, Ibrahim Dankwambo, the governor of GombeState, decreed a twenty-four hourwatch in the city and throughout the state.
