ASTRONOMY "Monstrous" black hole intrigue astronomers


A recent study by the AustralianNationalUniversity testifies of the existence of a new "super black hole", the most gigantic ever detected.

The latter, already described as "monstrous" by astronomers, has a mass twelve billion times greater than our sun. Black holes - celestial objects born from the collapse of massive stars - are one of the great mysteries of the cosmos. Generating an incredible gravitational pull, they are able to suck at close proximityin, as well as the material light. The black hole discovered today, however, reveals the phenomenal features never seen before.
