Researchers from Wisconsin and MarylandUniversities have embarked on a rather special project: composing music for cats. Charles Snowdon

, who led the Animal Behaviour Science magazine study, is satisfied with the result: he explained that cats "often rubbed the enclosure when the music was played". To achieve this, the scientists worked with composer David Teie to select sounds able to stimulate the sensitivity of cats.
