The greatest lefties of history
March 9 th, 2015
Football has experienced number lefties, including the two most famous players in Argentina’s history: Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi. Moreover, given their similar characteristics, they are often compared to each other. It is impossible not to quote the former Real Madrid striker, Hungarian FerencPuskas. Lefties have also marked their era in motor sports; be it Formula 1 with AyrtonSenna or the French rally’s Sebastien Loeb. In rugby, two of the greatest players in history are also lefthanded: English Jonny Wilkinson and New Zealander Daniel Carter. One could also add to this list of prestigious names like Laura Flessel (sword), Oscar de la Hoya (boxing), Phil Mickelson (golf) and Percy Montgomery (rugby).
