Pharaonic tomb discovered in Luxor

American archaeologists have discoveredan ancient pharaonic tomb over 3000 years old in the Egyptian city of Luxor, announced the Department of Antiquities. The burial unearthed dates back to the 18th dynasty, the time of the New Kingdom (1550-1070 BC), and colourful murals (in very good condition)show scenes of everyday life and celebrations. "The tomb may have been vandalised as some scenes and wall inscriptions have been scraped," the ministry said in a statement without further explanation.
