President suspends bombing against the FARC

March 11 th, 2015

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos ordered on Tuesday a temporary cessation of bombing against the FARC in the peace process with the Marxist guerrillas. This truce should last a month. The head of the state, which had so far ruled out any military truce, said the temporary cessation of bombing responded to this gesture of the guerrillas. "We must recogniSe that they honour their commitment," he said.
