Paleo diet very dangerous for babies
March 16 th, 2015
Australia has banned the publication of a book of Palaeolithic recipes for babies. Doctors were particularly frightened by the ersatz milk powder recipe which combines bone broth and chicken liver. "I think there is a real possibility that a baby can die if the book is published," said the president of the Australian Public Health Association. "Especially if the baby drank [the stock] there is a real risk. Growth and the developing baby may be affected." The book is co-authored by Pete Evans, a famous leader and champion of the Palaeolithic diet, which involves eating only foods to which our prehistoric ancestors had access such as meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, eggs and nuts.
