New president expected soon

The candidate of the Nigerian opposition, Muhammadu Buhari, has been widely acclaimed in the north, the region of origin, according to the first partial results of the tightest presidential election in the history of Nigeria, which opposes the outgoing president Goodluck Jonathan. According to the first official results in 15 of the 36 Nigerian states and in the federal capital, announced by the delegates of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), the former General Buhari (72) is currently the winner in 10 states. President Jonathan (57) won the elections in five and in the federal capital.
