Super typhoon Maysak approaches

Five people were killed in Micronesia in the central Pacific in the passage of super typhoon Maysak.  A state of emergency was declared Wednesday in Chuuk. Maysak was hit by a category 5 typhoon, the maximum category, and is accompanied by violent winds of 260 km/h. Maysak formed two weeks after the powerful cyclone Pam that caused devistation to Vanuatu archipelago in the South Pacific, where 11 deaths were reported. It took three days to cross the Federated States of Micronesia. It swept Chuuk Sunday night and continued its course in the vast archipelago of 607 islands before hitting Yap State.
