“Whaling must resume in the Antarctic”
April 14 th, 2015
Deprived of whaling in the Antarctic for the 2014-2015 seasons, the Japanese get along well in the International Whaling Commission (IWC), requesting the authorisation cetacean fishing. Japanese chief negotiator promised Tuesday to "make every effort" to convince experts of the scientific veracity of brandy given by the archipelago for a revival of the hunt. Tokyo estimated that the world population of whales, especially minke whales, is important enough to support the annual catch quota of 333 heads in Antarctica. A level further considered "necessary" by Tokyo to collect information on the age of the whale population.
