SOCIAL/Home Affairs officials assault case



Durban - The slow services from Department of Home Affairs turned violenton Wednesday. A Durban woman has laid a charge of assault against an official of the Department.

The frustration came when Tanith Molière approached the employee to find out why the long queue was moving very slow. Instead of giving an explanation, security agents closed doors and staff left the building. Home affairs official, accosted with pressure, tried to defuse the situation. But Molière wants justice and an end to the ill-treatment of citizens by officials.
