SAFETY/Speed breakers arrested

 

 

Johannesburg - Speeding has recently caused more fatal accidents. If the accident has not been linked to alcohol or engine failure, it has happened through negligence and excess speed. On Saturday, metro police said to arrest eight men for speeding in Johannesburg.

The first arrest was a 37-year-old man driving a BMW X3 on the N1 North. The speed zone indicates 120km/h but he hit 184km/h. Arrested and charged for reckless and negligent driving, he was released on R1,500 bail.  Other drivers were spotted speeding up in a 60km/h zone on the Golden Highway. Seven of them were arrested.
