among other companies, have decided to run their own power supply to keep lights on at their business. MTN has installed a 2MW power plant and expect to increase it to 24MW within three years while Standard Bank has generated 1MW. They reduce their reliance on Eskom and only spend 0.87 cents per KWH instead R1.40/KWH to Eskom. Individuals are also planning to find a way to be self-reliant.
