EDUCATION Racist voices rise up


Johannesburg – Violence at a Roodepoort school appears to be supported by ‘hushed racist voices’ according to the SA Democratic Teacher Union in Gauteng.

  The provincial secretary urged each and every one to take responsibility to eliminate “the demon of racism”. Early last week, coloured parents protested, demanding coloured principal.  Parents alleged there were irregularities when the black principal NomathembaMolefe was appointed. There is no evidence of alleged irregularities according to Gauteng education department spokesperson.
