SA gets low price iPhones
March 16 th, 2015
Cape Town - As cell phone device prices are competitiveacross SA, Apple is tempting South Africans with a cheaper iPhone. The SA Apple distributor Core Group announced last week that an iPhone 4S, priced at R2 999, might hit the market soon. The old 8GB iPhone has been refurbished with a one year warranty. The 4S was sparked controversy after a tight grip in sales. The device will be launched due to emerging markets showing South African's appetite for lower cost devices. The exposure to the pop culture among young people has also made the brand very popular and trendy. A tech survey, conducted earlier in 2015, found that 50% of students prefer iPhone if cost is not an issue, followed by Samsung at 29% and Sony at 9%.
