 SAA reinforce cockpit rules.

Johannesburg – Following the recent crash of the Germanwings A320, in which 150 people were killed as a result of the co-pilot’s unstable mental health condition, several airlines like the UK, Canada, New Zealand and now South Africa are reinforcing cockpit rules. Local airline companies are now reviewing their cockpit procedures to ensure that no pilot is left alone. “While it is our common practice to have two members of our crew in the flight deck at all times, in light of recent events, we’re now formalising this to be policy”, said Darrin Thomas, Spokesman of Virgin Atlantic.
