56 children hospitalised in Pietermaritzburg

Johannesburg - Fifty-six children got poisoning food and had to be rushed to hospital on Friday for emergency treatment in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. "These children are aged between 9 and 12. They started showing symptoms of food poisoning," said Robert Mckenzie, spokesperson of the KwaZulu-Natal emergency services. They all received the treatment they needed. “Four of the children are in a serious condition, the [others] are stable," Mckenzie added. The case is being investigated.
