King elucidates xenophobic comments

Durban - A proposed meeting between King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and church leaders will be held to elucidate the alleged xenophobic remarks by the Zulu king. Prince Thulani Zulu, spokesperson for the king, said that the meeting is to “correct misinterpretation of the king’s comment”. Zwelithini was alleged to have said “all foreigners should pack their bags and go home”. His comment has reportedly been behind a few attacks on foreigners in Durban’s informal settlements. Foreign shops were looted. Zulu thought that this meeting is important to stop attacks on foreigners.
