SA family IS link probed

April 11 th, 2015

Durban - Days after the incident of a 15-year-old Cape Town girl suspected of joining the Islamic State, two Duran families and a man (24) are being investigated after they were deported from Turkey a month ago. They are suspected of also joining ISIS. Brian Dube, spokesman for the State Security Agency could not confirm the investigation yet. The issue of the Cape girl is still under investigation. The local Islamic organisation in KZN condemned the IS. They, however, are not sure recruiting agents exist in the country.  SA Muslims Network has been worried about a potential false flag operation targeting and vilifying Muslim communities.
