Police aim to arrest looters

Durban - The number of arrestsfor looting of foreign-owned shop increased to 28, according to KZN police on Monday. Most of the suspects are between age 28 and 41. They are expected to appear in the Ntuzuma Magistrate’s Court soon. Roads were blocked with burning tyres and stones, and many foreign nationals’ shops were burnt after being looted by mob consisting of thousands of protestors. According to reports, two Somalis have been killed in KwaMashu. More arrests are expected, according to police commissioner Lieutenant general MmamonnyeNgobeni.
