Pretoria – The evidence of Marikana was stolen on Tuesday morning in central Pretoria. While advocate and representative for the families of Marikana miners, Dumisa Ntsebeza, used the toilet in the Nedbank Plaza shopping centre, a robber intercepted the car lock signal to open it. Heading back to Johannesburg, he stopped in Rivonia to take out money and noticed his briefcase was missing from the back seat. He lost his phonebook, his father’s keys, iPad, credit cards, wallet with R800, driver’s licence, passports with UK and US visa and most importantly his laptop that contains footage relating to the Marikana commission of inquiry. Police will rely on CCTV footage to solve the case.
