SA consulate’s vigilance in Lagos

SA has closed its consulate in Lagos, Nigeria until today in the wake of the anti-xenophobia protests, according to Netwerk24 reports. Nigerians has held protests outside the SA consulate and at the SA High Commission in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria. SA consul general in Nigeria, Sam Monaisa, has sent an email to the SA business forum in that country to remain alert and not move around unnecessarily. SA businesses and SA citizens in Nigeria are now targets of threats, due to the xenophobic attacks in SA. Meanwhile, amid the 2000 Zimbabweans citizens to repatriated, 15 people have disappeared in Musina after claiming to be safe at home, according to state media on Tuesday. No further details are available.
