Court battle over statues
April 22 nd, 2015
Pretoria – The North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria decided to ban the EFF and its leaders, mainly EFF leader Julius Malema, National Spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and Tshwane Deputy Chairperson Moafrika Mabongwana, for provoking its members and the public to remove and destroy national heritages, monument and statues. The order is to protect the Afrikaner community and the Afrikaans-speaking community. The ban is in the best interest of the public to enable national and constructive dialogue on the case of SA’s history, race and place of heritage as resource of lasting value, evidence of SA’s society origins, reconciliation, understanding, respect, development and unification of SA’s identity.
