New SA policies to prevent xenophobia
May 18 th, 2015
Pretoria - SA government is embarking on a major overhaul of its immigration control policy ‘to prevent xenophobic attacks’. The implementation of this policy is divided into two phases. The first phase is to hunt down all undocumented immigrants that mainly refer to the cause of societal problems such as insecurity, violence and drugs. The second phase will focus on the “Green Paper” law for 2016 that would take effect in 2017. The Green Paper law will unite information from Interior, Defence, Natural resources and Social Affairs to enable strict control of migratory flows, entrances and exits in the country.
