SA’s inflation rise
May 21 st, 2015
SA’s consumption price has increased with 4.5% by April 2015 compared to 4% in March, according to the announcement stated by the National Statistics Agency on Wednesday. The rise in fuel price is the main reason. The fuel price has increased over 14% in a month, placing a bigger burden on South African consumers. Despite the increase, inflation remains the lowest since 2011. However, economists observed a rising inflation since March again. Nedbank foresees an inflation rate of 6% at the end of the year because of the weak Rand against the Dollar and rising oil prices.
