An apology to rebuild ties with Mozambique

May 22 nd, 2015

SA has apologised to Mozambique on Wednesday in Maputo about the unfair treatment of Mozambican citizens. President Jacob Zuma spoke to his Mozambican counterpart Filipe Nyusi, saying it is important for SA to apologize on behalf of the minority of South Africans who behaved badly. The first day of the official state agenda was to strengthen relations between the two countries. Last week Pretoria authorities took Mozambican diplomacy by surprise with operation ‘Swiela’ during which 420 of its nationals were arrested.
