Six rescued from ‘sex shop’

Pretoria - Six women have been saved who were being exploited for prostitution in Brooklyn, Pretoria on Wednesday evening. Spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said that Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) arrested a Thai man and two Chinese women who were running the brothel. The Hawks stormed the brothel and found six Thai ladies between 23 and 38 in the house. They are kept at a place of safety and are expected to give information pending investigations. Police confiscated drugs, receipt books and fake passports. The Department of Home Affairs is expected to verify the documents. The three suspects between 49 and 45 were expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
