Pretoria - Curro Private School in Roodeplaatis in the racial spotlight after a video of a field trip went viral. The footage shows students being divided into two racial groups: black and white. The Gauteng Education department is aware of the video and started with an investigation on Thursday. The school denied the allegations. The children were separated because of the classes they were in. “The children were in the buses according to class. We are a dual-medium school and parents have made a choice as to whether their children be taught in Afrikaans or English. The Afrikaans children were in one bus and the English [children] in another”, according to school spokeswoman Mari Lategan.
