SA’s Muslim Africa charity drive

June 23 rd, 2015

SA’s Islamic charity organisations have begun to triple their effort this year by distributing food packages to less fortunate Muslims across Africa. They hope to feed over three million Muslims during Ramadan this year. The regional director of the SA-based Africa Muslim Agency (AMA) said they have distributed uncooked food parcels in SA, Mozambique and Malawi. Twenty-nine African countries will be provided with breakfast and pre-dawn meals. AMA had built dozens of mosques across the continent where staff members can provide poor Muslims with hot meals. AMA has raised the charity fund from SA Muslim’s almsgiving. They will provide blankets, jackets, and warm items for SA Muslims during Ramadan.
