Bar noise bothers residents

June 24 th, 2015

Pretoria –Pretoria West residents have been subject to loud music and noise from a local tavern for two years. The tavern is open seven days a week. Customers litter the street and empty bottles are spread all over. Metro and provincial police have ignored West View residents’ complaints. Parents complained that their children struggle to study in the evening. The noise from the tavern prevents them from getting enough sleep. The high court has ordered the tavern owner to demolish the structure in March 2013 but the order has been ignored. Pretoria West police said they would investigate the matter.
