Vodacom’s network failure

Gauteng residents complained of not being able to make or receive calls on the Vodacom network in the early afternoon of June 24. The network has suspended all its services in the area for an hour and a half. According to the company, its team immediately investigated to determine the cause of the failure identified at Midrand offices. Troubleshooting efforts were immediately initiated to restore services. Vodacom Spokesman Richard Boorman said that Vodacom did not know in advance about the disruption that affected millions of consumers. Network usage has been restored but the investigation will determine the exact cause of the failure.
