Bombs found while crossing SA border

More than 200 explosive devices were found in a bus at the Beitbridge border post on Tuesday morning. The SA Revenue Services ordered a detector dog unit to search the bus which had just cross SA’s border from Zimbabwe. Detonation cords were spotted in a bag on the bus. The bag allegedly belonged to the Zimbabwean bus conductor. The SAPS’ explosives unit arrived at the scene and confiscated 200 detonating cords. The suspect is in custody pending further investigation. Police suspect that the explosives are being used in criminal activities such as blowing up ATMs.
