  A police officer accused of sexually molesting and raping his stepdaughter, admitted that he engaged in an incestuous relationship with his cousin,the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge heard on Tuesday. The girl, who is now 17, testified earlier this month of how she was sexually assaulted by her stepfather when she was six. She testified that she was forced to touch and kiss his genitals on different occasions before he raped her. Nonetheless, the girl, whose identity cannot be disclosed, said she had reported the incidents to her mother only four years later, in 2009, claiming she was too scared of her aggressive stepfather’s reactions.

  Organ donor campaigner Jenna Lowe died on June 8. Lowe’s family send out an open invitation for the memorial service that was held on Saturday Herschel Girls’ Senior School in Cape Town. The family said in the invitation that they will “commemorate and pay tribute to an extraordinary life”. Hundreds of people gathered to pay their last respects.

Brave 10-year-old hero rescues children

.A 10-year-old boy is being hailed as a hero after he rescued two children who were trapped in a mobile home fire in Oakland Florida, while his dad was busy quenching fire, Orange County fire officials said. The young rescuer, Isiah Francis, told local media that his “heart was beating so fast” when he ran into the burning mobile home, grabbed the two kids under his arms and took them to safety outside. “I had to go in there with the fire to grab the kids while dad kept running in there with water trying to put out the fire,” Francis said.
