Sasol is an option for Eskom

Johannesburg- Eskom’s power plan can benefit from Sasol's position in selling its excess power. Sasol announced that it can sell 400MW of excess power it generates form steam boilers and gas turbines to Eskom. Eskom has been fighting against a power deficit since the beginning of 2015. Eskom has difficulties to keep lights on, thus it needs to implement controlled power outage. Chief Executive David Constable spoke to Reuters, saying that working with Eskom is good aoption for them. Eskom also plans to raise cash by selling some of its assets to alleviate financial constraints.
