Government should be on guard

Johannesburg- Police Minister Nathi Nhleko spoke at a media briefing at WITS University about private security regulations. He said government has a duty to make sure the national security is highly guarded. He said he has already submitted the Private Industry regulation amendment Bill to President Jacob Zuma, a bill which calls private security companies to have 51 % South African ownership. He said government has to be on guard because certain companies have the capacity of gathering intelligence information.
