Gangsters in possession of ‘destroyed’guns

Johannesburg- Western Cape gangsters were found in possession of firearms destroyed by Gauteng police,according to affidavits submitted at the South Gauteng High Court. The weapons had reportedly come from the Gauteng firearms and liquor control unit. Some of the weapons’ serial numbers had already been erased. A police officer, Colonel Chris Prinsloo, was arrested in January for having allegedly removing heavy boxes from a safe. Prinsloo apparently kept the guns at his house. He was said to have sold weapons to gangsters in the Western Cape and was found with R100,000 cash at his house at the time of his arrest.
