Passengers rescued from trapped bus

Cape Town- Twenty-two passengers were rescued on Thursday from a bus that was trapped when the Groot Riverflooded its bank in Meiringspoort outside Oudtsroorn late Monday night. The occupants of the bus climbed through the top floor windows and waited on the cliff as the water levels rapidly rose, The George Herald reported. The passengers climbed down the cliff when water levels started to subside and waited to be rescued. Passengers in a green golf, which was apparently swept away by the floodwaters, were also rescued, according to reports
