The Tierlantynkies Market opened yesterday. With over 70 exhibitors selling crafted goods, handmade jewellery and toys and even delicious deli food, you are bound to spend hours browsing through this celebration of creativity.
Since being launched by three friends in 2010, The Tierlantynkies Market has offered patrons a unique creative buying experience incorporating live music and children’s entertainment with a an artisan shopping experience. According to their website Lorette Kunz, Elmien van Zyl and RonelCoetzer wanted to create “a space where artists and entrepreneurs could sell their handcrafted products directly to the public, without the overheads of a retail outlet, a place where the public could buy unique, handmade products directly from the artists at affordable prices”.
Visit The Tierlantynkies Market at the Capital City Church, 56 Saal Street in Zwavelpoort. The market is open from 09:00-19:00 Wednesday to Sunday and runs from 25-31 March. Entrance is R30 per person for a market pass.
