The trial of Angolan journalist and activist Rafael Marques opened this Tuesday in Luanda and lasted five hours behind closed doors. On leaving, he blurted: "I went to court today to face new charges of criminal defamation. I [came out] with 15 other extra ". The hearing was adjourned until April 23. At the door of the court, a dozen young came to support the icon of the struggle against Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos. Youth clashed with security forces. Their posters read “Free Rafael" and "Imprison the general." Several arrests were made.
