Bomb threat at court

Pretoria -

April 16 th, 2015

A bomb threat created quiet a scare on Wednesday morning at the High Court in Pretoria.  The court house was quickly evacuated and police dogs were used to locate the bomb. An email was sent at 1am but the email was only read several hours later while the court was already in session. All proceedings were interrupted. The bomb was later found but it was a fake explosive. The court re-opened several hours later. Some advocates were extremely annoyed by the delay because their clients have to foot the bill for lost time. Such delay could have cost implications for clients as their trial dates could go from three days to a four-day trial.
