Peace march for unity

NEWS

April 16 th, 2015

Durban - A march was scheduled yesterday morning at Curries Fountain to give a meaningful message to South Africans to focus on unity not violence. The march was to be led by Durban mayor James Nxumalo, KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu and leaders of various organisations. Africans should stand together not against each other, said the municipality’s Tozi Mthethwa. KZN has exhorted South Africans to put an end to violence by walking together, holding hands as Africans, recognising our similarities and shared challenges, and finding ways to resolve them. Five people have been killed and hundreds of foreigners have been displaced around Durban city over the past few days.
