Pretoria – Pretoria residents have complained about the condition of animal care that belong to a breeder, registered with the Kennel Union of South Africa. Thirty dogs, mostly Yorkshire terriers, were found under poor conditions with rotten teeth and untreated tumours. The inspectors discovered them locked in a tiny breeding cages. The breeder operates in backyard facility which is improper according to animal protection legislation. Some dogs had to go under euthanasia because of poor health and some was taken from the breeder’s possession and temporary put in Tshawne SPCA’s care. The Tshawne SPCA encourages people to adopt animals from reputable animal organisation instead of buying them from breeders.
