April 29 th, 2015
Limpopo - A businessman from Limpopo, accused of complotting the killing his wife in Polokwane suburb of Nirvana on Tuesday said he tried to plead not guilty. Rameez Pate's written statement bid a bail and said that he knew nothing about the crime. Arrested two weeks ago, Pate's wife, Fatima was discovered in the pool full of blood on 10 April. The bail application depends on the battle between the State and defence. The State wanted to postpone the matter while Polokwane Magistrate's Court has ruled in favour of the defense. The court session was packed with ANC Youth League members telling the court not to grant bail for Patel. The bail application is now postponed to May 4.
