Pretoria – A toddler (2) has drowned when a rubber duck flipped over on Mother’s Day on the Hartbeespoort Dam. The Pretoria North family stayed with friends at a local caravan park for the weekend. The incident happened when their boat made a tight turn on the water, and the tube dug into the water. All occupants of the boat landed in the water and the little boy was the only person who did not resurface. A jet skier rushed to help. Survivors were towed to the shore before rescue services arrived. NSRI Hartbeespoort Dam and police ambulance services searched for the missing toddler until Sunday night. The searched continued early Monday morning. As yet, the toddler’s body has not been found.
