Bilateral agreement between SA and Russia

According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Presidency, a successful bilateral discussion has been concluded in Moscow between President Jacob Zuma and Russian President Vladmir Putin. Zuma and Putin met during the festivities to celebrate the seventieth anniversary of the end of World War Two. Both state leaders talked about the status and implementation of an Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) agreements. They used the opportunity to prepare for the next BRICS summit and the ITEC conference to be held in Russia by mid-2015. An agreement to intensify cooperation in various areas such as mining, energy and agriculture was acknowledged by the two heads of heads.
